The Ugandan Children's Choir
The Choir is from the Royal School and Orphanage in Kamapala, Uganda, East Africa. They will be traveling to America this summer during the months of June, July and August, singing and dancing around the southeast to raise money to build a new school and orphanage. This will be the third tour the choir is undertaking, and we are praying that this tour will provide the rest of the money needed to finish building the orphanage.
The Choir consists of 28 children ranging in age from 6 to 14 years old. Their concerts consist of the children singing and dancing to songs which range from worshipful to the energetic and even the traditional African dances. Many attendees come to the concerts expecting to see a show, but they soon learn that it truly is a worship experience. During the concert attendees will also hear some of the stories of the children who are dancing in front of them and will see video clips of their homes, the orphanage, and where the new school will be. It is touching to see the conditions where these children come from and to see them worship as they do.
The choir does not charge for its concerts, but operates on a love offering basis only. They have trusted God these past two years and have seen miracles of His hand moving. We ask that you prayerfully consider booking the choir to sing at your church. It is an amazing experience to watch and participate with these children worshiping God through their singing and dancing.
If you have any questions or are interested in booking a concert, please contact us at 770-228-8075 or email at suubi@suubi.info. If you would like references from other churches, we will be glad to supply that as well.
